Key Lime Pie
Love Limes!
Ingredients:
Base-
125 g biscuits('digestive' or 'malt')
90 g butter, melted
Custard-
400 g condensed milk
4 egg yolks
125 ml lime juice
zest of 1 lime
Serving-
Whipped cream
Method:
Preheat oven to 180*C.
Process biscuits until finely crushed, pour butter and combine.
Press into a 20-22 cm tin and refrigerate.
Beat condensed milk with juice, egg yolks and zest. Pour over the crust and bake 20-25 minutes or until set.
When cooled decorate with whipped cream.
Serves 10-12
Slatka 'pita' sa limetom
Potrebno:
Baza-
125 gr keksa (petit ili slicno)
90 gr putera, istopljenog
Punjenje-
400 gr kondenziranog mlijeka
4 zumanca
125 ml soka limete
Kora jedne limete, ribana
Serviranje-
Tuceno slatko vrhnje/slag
Izrada:
Izdrobite sitno kekse u sjeckalici/multipraktiku, pa uspite puter. Promijesajte dobro, pa tu smjesu utisnite u okrugli pleh (20-22cm). Stavite u frizider.
Umutite mikserom mlijeko, zumanca, sok i koru, dok se ne ujednaci.
Uspite preko baze, pa pecite 20-25 min na 180*C.
Kada se ohladi, ukrasite slagom.

You did the Key lime pie! It´s look very good. My biscuit base broke a little because I don´t put in the fridge.
ReplyDeleteLoved Your Key lime pie.Like you I have always wanted to try the portugese custard tarts,so tried your recipe ,loved the ide of pastry..I found the first batch never cooked ,So put the temp up to 200 for second batch 10 mins,.then lowered it to 180 & had better results using lectric oven.I don't think i had the pastry as thin as i should have in first batch so rectified it in second batch .Yummy

Will make them next time with short crust as well.
Love your site found it while looking for Key lime pie another first .My D.H has not stopped raving about it.Never used condenced milk for years in anything .Must say it was a great combination.
